GoGo Inflight internet review

Postby Chorizote on Fri Apr 16, 2010 6:35 pm

On my last flight from detroit i was lucky enough to be on a delta airlines plan that offered inflight internet. I thought what the heck lets try it out. I connected to the ssid and then loaded up the sign in page. It lised the cost as 9.99 for the duration of the flight. This seems like a pretty good deal since the flight was almost 4.5 hours. I entered in my credit card info and then was able to connect. I ran a speed test from http://www.speedtest.net and got back .8 download and .2 upload. It then launched aol radio for my listening pleasure. Dispite the slow benchmarking speeds aol radio performed flawless. I was also able to run aim through out the whole trip with no problems. Paella freaks.com also loaded up with no problem. Over all i am very pleased with the usability of the connection. Hopefully soon they will offer it on all of the delta cross country flights.
